Sample taking at BRAVOLEUM-HACIENDA el PALO for the Best olive oil Award

The collection of samples for the best olive oil Prize was produced in our facilities last week. 

These, were taken by a technician of the Sub-Delegation of the Government of Jaén for his later presentation in the prize for best olive oil, convened by the Ministry of Agriculture in the competition "Foods of Spain."

In his visit to our mill were collected, a total of 6 lots. Four bottles of 500ml and two of 250ml. All of them a homogeneous lot of 20,000 l, which is what the bases of this award require. 

Three of the major recipients will be assigned to the prize jury for sensory valuation and the fourth will be held by the contestant. While the lower capacity vessels will be destined for physical-chemical analysis.

Once the samples have been taken, which have been sealed and codified for their anonymity and integrity, the deposit has been sealed until the resolution of the contest.

In this edition 2017-2018, only nine are the Jaén mills that have been presented, around the 330 that exist in the province. For this reason, the deputy government delegate, Francisca Molina, has encouraged cooperatives and Jaén manufacturers to participate and promote the highest quality oil for future editions.
