This weekend has taken place, in the margin of the XVIII International Tourism, Sports and Adventure Fair of Andalusia 'Tierra Adentro', the Gastronomic Battle organized by Aove Blogger Spain. An event considered much more than a gastronomic exhibition and in which eight renowned bloggers have prepared a dish, using one of the eight Aoves "Jaén Selección 2019", counting on the advice of eight leading jiennenses restaurateurs.
The jury of this edition has been chaired by the Deputy of Promotion and Tourism, Francisco Javier Lozano, along with Pedro Sánchez, chef and owner of the restaurant Jiennense Bagá (a Michelin Star), Anunciación Caripo, olive oil expert, Marcos Reguera, chef and member of the Andalusian Academy of Gastronomy and Tourism, Mery García, blogger of "Kitchen for all" and winner of AOVE Blogger 2017 and Fernando Huidobro, president of the Andalusian Academy of Gastronomy and Tourism.
In this 4th Edition, we have formed a team with:
- Pilar Romero from the blog 'And today we eat', born in Cazalla de la Sierra and in love with cooking since she was born. A blogger who learned to cook from a young age thanks to two good teachers: her grandmother and her mother.
- María Victoria Cano of the 'Ajo Negro' Restaurant in Mengíbar. Restorer who from an early age, becomes inseparable from the kitchen of her mother and an aunt, reaching to conquer Mengíbar in 2014 with her Restaurant 'Black Garlic'.
This gastronomic battle, has once again had the presence of humorist and writer Manu Sánchez, who has been in charge of leading and encouraging this day that for more than four hours, has given a great national relevance in the social networks to the cuisine of Jiennense , with green gold as the protagonist.
And is that EVOO Blogger is a party that claims our Aoves, the best in the world with its more than 66 million olive trees.
